is run by Dave (LILI) and Pam Macdonald of the Natural Decorating
Company.

- practical: we will
slake some lime, make lime slurry and washes and apply them
to a wall, and make lime render and apply it to a straw-bale

- theory: what is
paint; the history and uses of traditional and modern coatings;
petrochemical and natural paint ingredients; the impact of paint
on our health, the environment and our buildings; the use and
application of natural paints
- practical: Pam will
show you how to make natural paints using clay, lime, milk and
plant oils, including paints for walls and for wood; how to
add pigments to colour natural paints; how to make plasters
and textured paints; how to apply different kinds of natural
paints
